Description
An androgen is testosterone acetate, a testosterone ester. This steroid lipid molecule is thought to be basic and nearly insoluble in water. It is a prodrug of testosterone and an anabolic steroid. The body absorbs testosterone acetate more quickly than other esters. It is a component of Deposterona, an injectable veterinary blend steroid preparation sold in Mexico, along with two other testosterone esters: testosterone undecanoate and testosterone valerate. Deposterona is basically a low dose version of Sustanon, containing a combination of slow and fast-acting esters. It is mainly used as a general protein-sparing anabolic and to treat impotence, weakness, fatigue, and hypogonadism in male breeding animals (cows, pigs, dogs, and sheep). The drug testosterone acetate is categorized as Schedule III.
